JOIN THE PSC ’S ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE COMMITTEE ON THE MARCH FOR A CLEAN ENERGY REVOLUTION
SUNDAY, JULY 24, 2016
The PSC, which was a significant presence in the 2014 Climate march, and with the endorsement of the union, hopes to have a significant presence in the March for a Clean Energy Revolution that will take place in Philadelphia on the Eve of the Democratic National Convention, July 24, 2016. The march is being organized by Food and Water Watch, and 350.org, alongside other environmental organizations, with the support of numerous labor unions, community and faith-based organizations.
Climate change affects us all and will affect future generations and it is important that we fight back. As a labor union we are taking up this cause because there are no good jobs on a dying planet. We also want to fight for current workers in energy fields to not be left behind in the transition to a sustainable/renewable energy economy.
We really hope you will join us at this momentous event and help us send a clear message that we want clean energy and good union jobs. See below for contact information, registration and meeting location. See you in Philadelphia.
Registration and Transportation: Choose a bus from a location near you at cleanenergymarch.org/travel/
Meeting Place in Philadelphia: We will meet at the South Side of Philadelphia’s City Hall, on South Penn Square between South Juniper and South 15th Street. Look for the labor contingent and PSC signs.
